Kids are important. This sure is true.

But sometimes, we adults, just forget to tell you.

We get all busy with so many jobs to do.

We often just forget that "KIDS ARE PEOPLE TOO" !

Kids, you are important and we really do care.

We do have love and kindness we want to share.

Maybe this poem will help us say to you,

"You are SO important." "KIDS ARE PEOPLE TOO"!

Kids, you may not know this, so let us say,

We are working to make you safe each and every day.

It would be great if every child knew,

They are so very special. "YES, KIDS ARE PEOPLE TOO"!

Kids you will one day, grow up and be,

Adults like us, for all the world to see.

We hope you remember this important thing to do,

Tell YOUR kids you love them. "YES, KIDS ARE PEOPLE TOO"!
